Are there any very easy and simple alternative rock song song i can learn how to play?

I want to learn a song but every time i do, it's so complected. All i no about playling guitar is just how 2 strum, how to use the hand thats on the neck and how 2 read tabs. I don't care if it's acoustic or electric, i just want to learn my first song. i wan't something like linkin park, trapt, hoobastank, 12 stones, nickelback, foo fighters, anything in that type of music. Also is it possible to be both right and left handed at guitar?
