Wouldn't Sarah Palin make for a more consistently conservative candidate, as compared to a Mitt Romney?

You are probably right Palin is more conservative and probably more ideological than Romney, but you can say the same about Sharron Angle, Arizona governor Jan Brewer and Minnesota's Michele Bachmann. Being conservative does not mean they will be good politicians.
