Can a teenager register an LLC?

I am starting a tutoring business as a teenager, and hope to file for an LLC in the State of California. I know that minors cannot do this, so how would i put on the articles of incorproation that my parents are backing me? I also in California an LLC gets taxed like a corporation, OR can choose not to and pay a minimum of $800 yearly fee to Franchise Board; both tax situations suck for a kid's business.
