Cysts on neck and shoulder?

I have a problem with cysts (at least, that's what I believe they are)... I have quite a large cyst on the back of my neck and a cyst that is gradually growing on my right shoulder. My brother has a cyst in the same relative position as the one on my neck. My father says he had one when he was younger and had it surgically removed; I'm now thinking they may be hereditary? Does anyone know more about this problem or has/had the same problem?
