Im signed into the Navy DEP, I want to get out, My recruiter said I wont get any federal loans if i do, help!!

I went today and spoke to my recruiter about getting out of the dep....He said once I do decide not to go, I wont get any federal loans, no loans for college, cars, no loans for anything. I need the truth about this, is he just telling me this to keep me in?
